Namecheap has a long history of supporting Bitcoin. In 2013, the web hosting provider was one of the first major domain registrars to announce that it accepted the currency as a means of payment from its customers. BTCPay is an open source and self-hosted cryptocurrency payment processor. Accepting Bitcoin payments through this new method would further underscore Namecheap’s commitment to the privacy and online safety of all customers.
Namecheap continues to accept payment for web hosting services through BitPay. Users who wish to purchase Namecheap products and services with Bitcoin now have the option to do so through BTCPay or BitPay.
