I’m excited to announce that Sprout Social has been named one of Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work for the fourth time in 2021. In light of all that happened in 2020, we are very proud to be recognized and grateful to our employees for this award.
Glassdoor determines this list of companies based solely on input from employees who conduct an anonymous company review of their job, work environment and employer on the platform. This year we were named to the list of Employees’ Choice Awards for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (with fewer than 1,000 employees). This is an honor not only because of the recognition itself, but also because of the hard work our entire team has put into maintaining and growing the amazing culture we have at Sprout. Our CEO and Co-Founder Justyn Howard said it well:
“The past year has brought significant challenges to our world, but the Sprout team has proven to be remarkable,” said Justyn Howard, CEO and co-founder of Sprout Social. “In the face of COVID-19, racial injustice and myriad other challenges, we are incredibly proud of the way our entire team came together to support one another and solve difficult problems for our customers. This award is a testament to the incredible work and strong culture we have built together – we are honored by this recognition. “
As a company director and HR specialist, I can honestly say that 2020 was one of the most challenging years of my career. One silver lining, however, was the incredible spirit of leadership and skill that our employees showed at every turn. While many of us had never worked full-time remotely (and certainly not to balance distance learning, childcare, and the burden of a global pandemic), our team made this pivot almost seamless. I’ve seen more compassion, teamwork, and adaptability in the past year than ever before.
In October, Sprout 2020 was named one of Fortune’s 100 best small and medium-sized jobs. In November, we were honored to be recognized as one of Battery Venture’s top 25 rated public cloud computing companies that we worked for during the Covid crisis.
These recognitions mean that the challenges of last year come out even more. I am proud of our team members and managers who have always put the health, safety and wellbeing of our team at the forefront during this crisis. We have been able to provide tools for a successful transition to work from home, share mental health resources, and rebuild our culture, at least for now, as remote firsts. This culture is the heartbeat of our organization and the key element of what drives us forward.
“According to employees, this year’s employers have proven that they will rise to the challenge of supporting their employees even in extraordinary times,” said Christian Sutherland-Wong, CEO of Glassdoor. “A mission-oriented culture, transparent leadership and career opportunities are always trademarks of the winners of Best Places to Work. I congratulate all of the outstanding winners of this year’s Employees’ Choice Award. “
